Crème brûlée recipe

Creamy, crunchy and simply delicious: one of the best desserts from France - Crème brûlée!
Today, I will show you an easy-to-follow recipe on how to make this pudding!

Ingredients:
Heavy cream 400g
Sugar A 50g
Sugar B 30g
Yolk 4
Vanilla essence or sugar
Water 15g

1. Mix the yolks and half of sugar A together.
2. In another bowl, mix the heavy cream and the other half of sugar A together.
3. Now, pour the ingredients together and stir them until they blend in with each other.
4. Put in a few drops of vanilla essence.
5. Pour the mixture into dishes and bake them in the oven for around 40 minutes by 150°C.
6. Microve the water and sugar B in a heatproof dish for exactly 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
7. Spread the caramel over the pudding.
8. Enjoy your dessert!

I think that this recipe is almost foolproof - just pay attention to the heated caramel and that you have to spread it fast or it will harden. Also, you can vary the amount of sugar, with the amount I've used, it turned out to be pretty sweet, but everyone's preference is different, right?

Hair Accessory: Ribbon Bow Tutorial

Maybe you've noticed it already, but I feel some kind of affection towards bows (okay, I'm fond of a lot of things...). I'm writing this post while drinking a good cup of hot cappucchino, in between my homework, letting my brain pause a little. Taking a break once in a while is good for your body and your soul. Constantly working and thinking won't do you any good. I often find myself a lot more relaxed and focused after a break and afterwards, I can concentrate even better on my work. Sometimes, I relieve my accumulated stress by crafting, drawing or making something creative. You'll see, creativity will boost your brain activity, too! 

Either way, I think I drifted off a bit, so why not try making this hair accessory in a work break? 

First of all, you'll need 3 stripes of ribbon. One with 5cm, one with 11cm and the last one with a length of 17cm (the length can vary of course).

Now, take the longest stripe, find its middle, fold both ends towards it and glue them down.

Do the same with the second longest stripe.

Place the smaller piece over the bigger one (pay attention that you glue them together in the middle!)

Take the smallest section, wrap it around the middle and glue it firmly.

Okay, now you only have to place the piece over a barrette, glue them together, and you're good to go!

Impressions Of London

Last week, I wen to a school trip - to London! It's such a big city, the lifestyle and attitude of the people living there, the heaven-like delicious food and all those famous monuments... . Everywhere you look, you discover new - sometimes strange and bizarre - things. Also the people we met there were all open, friendly and funny. Now that I'm back in school again, this trip to London seems like a dream. But: If I had to describe what kind of dream it was, I would say: "It was a short, intensive, wonderful, inspiring trip full of good memories!"

 

 

 

 

 

A Guard for the Light Switch | DIY

 

 Hi!
I don't have a lot of time right now (but I didn't want to post nothing!), so today's post is going to be a very short DIY on how to decorate your light switch. Without further ado, let's begin!

To start off, I cut out the shape I want. Here, I've used sticker paper (it will be easier to stick onto the wall later).

 Next, I cut out two white ovals for the eyes and glued them onto their place.

Now it's time to add some details!

Just stick it over the light switch and you have created a tiny guard who observes it!

Experiment around: cut out different shapes and figures - let your imagination run wild!

Twist Ring | Handmade

You know what? Friends and family are sometimes the best inspiration. Whenever one of my close friends celebrate their birthday, I always try to come up with something handmade. It's more personal, don't you think so, too? To cut a long story short: My friend (we've known each other since kindergarten) turned 18 (in Germany she's considered an adult now) and she's an absolute ring-lover. Well, scroll down to find out how I crafted a really simple ring for her:

How to:

Cut two strings of wire and thread them through the holes of the gem.

Twist the strings together.

Bend the two ends to form a ring fitting a finger.

Cut off the remaining wire and it's done!

Now you can create a bunch of them and either stack them together or just give them away as dainty little presents!
